Wendy Warner is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in private practice at Trinity Family Counseling Center.  In addition to working with couples, parents, children, and individuals, Wendy also enjoys teaching the premarital classes for all couples planning to marry at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Macomb.

Wendy is available for public speaking engagements across a range of topics including communication, conflict, parenting, marriage, and premarital preparation.

Wendy has a heart for hurting couples and families. She is a Christian counselor who brings her faith to the counseling process if desired by her clients. Wendy believes Jesus offers hope if we come to him with our troubles: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:30

Whether you are struggling with constant conflict, parenting, anxiety, depression, or any of the other challenges that come from being in relationships, Wendy is ready to help you work on solutions that work for you. You can experience hope in the midst of your struggle, and work toward a healthier approach in your relationship.

Wendy’s specific areas of experience, expertise, and passion are:

Couples Counseling
Married for over 30 years, Wendy appreciates the work involved in having a relationship that feels close and emotionally safe. She is passionate about helping couples understand what is keeping them from a close connection and how to move forward to a healthier, more loving relationship. Wendy works with couples in the traumatic aftermath of infidelity to provide hope and healing.

Premarital Counseling
Wendy is trained as a PREPARE / ENRICH facilitator and has served as a premarital mentor through her church. These experiences have given her a passion for helping couples get started on the right note with realistic expectations for the marriage relationship.

Children, Adolescents, and Teens
As a mother of two adult children, Wendy understands the challenges of parenting and the desire to support our kids when they struggle. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and teens that need a safe place to explore the cause of their pain. Anger, anxiety, depression and the impact of divorce are all areas that Wendy addresses with her clients under age 18.

Adults Struggling with Transition, Anxiety, Depression
There are times when each of us need support as we face change, overwhelming stress and discouragement. Wendy wants to provide support, help you gain insight and recover hope so you don’t go through those challenges alone.
