Sherrie Darnell, LLC, NCC
Sherrie Darnell is a Limited Licensed Counselor (LLC) in private practice at Trinity Family Counseling Center. Sherrie is a graduate of Oakland University with a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Sherrie has experience with a variety of mental health and life challenges including anxiety, depression, unhealthy coping patterns, and issues related to self-confidence, stress, and transitions. She also has prior experience as a Career Counselor and has helped clients navigate numerous career-related issues. Sherrie is a Certified Prepare/Enrich Facilitator and works with married and pre-marital couples. Sherrie currently serves as a mentor in her church’s marriage ministry, which helps couples in crisis.
Sherrie holds undergraduate degrees in English and Communications and comes to the counseling profession after a prior career in public relations. She has always had an interest in mental health and wellness, and she enjoys integrating language and narrative into creative and personalized approaches for her clients.
Sherrie’s view of counseling is that it works best as a collaborative effort. She believes each person and situation is unique, and she works to facilitate her clients’ self-exploration to help them uncover the solutions that work for them and their unique strengths. She uses supported strategies and theories, combined with empathy and non-judgmental acceptance, to help you achieve your goals.
