Faith-informed counseling in Shelby Township and across all of Michigan, offered in person or virtually, for individuals, couples, teens, and families navigating lifeβs emotional challenges.
We are a private-pay practice, which allows us to offer high-quality care without the limitations of insurance-based treatment. This means no diagnosis is required to receive care, greater privacy and confidentiality, and flexibility in the length and style of treatment.
We do offer a sliding scale for our services based on gross household income. The sliding scale is available to those clients for whom our full fee would present a financial hardship.Β Proof of income is required.
The counselors at Trinity Family Counseling Center are not paneled with any insurance companies. We would like our potential clients to understand our reasons for this policy.
During our initial conversation about fees, youβre welcome to ask about sliding-scale options. Our sliding-scale rates are offered at pre-determined, reduced levels based on gross household income. If a sliding-scale rate is appropriate, we will request documentation to verify income.
We are a private-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. Some clients choose to use out-of-network benefits by submitting a superbill to their insurance company.
A superbill is a detailed receipt that you may submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement of out-of-network mental health services.
You pay for sessions at the time of service. If approved, your insurance company reimburses you directly according to your planβs out-of-network benefits.
No. Reimbursement is determined solely by your insurance plan and is not guaranteed.
No. Clients are responsible for submitting superbills to their insurance company. We provide the documentation needed upon request.
Many insurance plans require a diagnosis to process claims. If you choose to submit a superbill, a diagnosis may be included. [A diagnosis will be determined based on your presenting issue, such as anxiety disorder, depressive disorder, adjustment disorder, trauma and stressor-related disorder, ADHD, etc. Your counselor will discuss any and all diagnoses with you prior to submission.]
Superbills are available upon request, typically after each session or as a monthly summary.
Trinity Family Counseling Center offers Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) supervision for Limited License Counselors (LLCs) working toward full licensure.
