Starting therapy can feel intimidating. That’s why we keep it simple.

Frequently Asked Questions.

How do I know if individual counseling is right for me?
Sometimes you just need to talk about something with someone who is not emotionally invested in the outcome of your dilemma. It can serve to diffuse its power by allowing the truth of things to hit the air.
Your therapist will get to know you, learn what brings you in, what you want to change, and what support would feel most helpful. You’ll talk through background and goals and leave with next steps.
No. Faith-informed support is available only if you want it. Therapy can be fully clinical and focused on your goals.

The length of counseling varies based on your goals and the concerns you bring in. If you have a specific, clearly defined issue, we may be able to focus on that and make meaningful progress in just a few sessions. More complex concerns—such as long-standing patterns, relationship issues, or multiple stressors—often benefit from a longer course of counseling. We’ll regularly check in together to make sure therapy continues to feel helpful and aligned with your needs.

Session frequency depends on several factors, including the nature of your concerns, your goals, and how much support you need at a given time. Many clients start with weekly sessions and adjust as progress is made. Your willingness to engage in the process—both in sessions and between sessions—also plays a role. We’ll collaborate to find a schedule that feels manageable, supportive, and effective for you.

Common concerns include anxiety, depression, grief/loss, identity/self-esteem, life transitions, stress/overthinking, and spiritual burnout. We also see half of a couple for relationship challenges, when their partner is unwilling to attend couples counseling.
