Debbie Caine, Counseling Intern
Debbie Caine is the newest member of the Trinity Family Counseling Center team. She has completed all coursework required for her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Oakland University, and is scheduled to graduate in December 2018. Her work at Trinity is under the direct supervision of Tonya Ratliff, LPC, NCC, ACS.
Debbie has also worked for the last two years as a career advisor for the Adult Career Counseling Center at Oakland University. With her background in Human Resource Development, she assisted clients with reentering the workforce, gaining confidence in decision-making, and identifying possible career paths.
In addition to her individual case load, Debbie will also serve as a co-facilitator of the Walk With Me® Grief Support Group offered at Trinity.
Debbie has experience counseling individuals coping with a wide range of emotional challenges including grief, loss, anxiety, and depression. She has worked with diverse populations experiencing transition in different stages of life. Debbie enjoys assisting clients develop skills that move them toward healthier relationships. Instilling hope and collaborating with clients toward their growth potential is her passion.
Debbie strives to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment for each client where they can openly explore their concerns. Her counseling approach is humanistic in nature and provides a compassionate and personalized experience. Debbie believes therapy is collaborative and is dedicated to assisting her client’s find their own solutions and achieve their own goals.
Debbie is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the National Career Development Association. She is also an active member of the St. Daniel Parish Community.
Married to her treasured life partner for almost 30 years, they have been blessed with four children. Debbie values her time with her family and friends. She also enjoys reading, meditating, and walking in nature.
